Meet the Doctors

Dr. Adam W. Weinberg

Dr. Adam W. Weinberg

Dr. Weinberg was raised in Durham, NC. He received a Bachelor of Science in biology from Wake Forest University before attending the University of North Carolina Dental School. Dr. Weinberg went on to complete his specialty training in pediatric dentistry at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center (CCHMC). Before returning to North Carolina, he remained on faculty at CCHMC for 3 years. Dr. Weinberg has achieved Diplomate status as a board certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Weinberg is past Chairman of the Board of the Children’s Museum and past Chairman of the Department of Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry at New Hanover Regional Medical Center. Additionally, he is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatrics, the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the North Carolina Dental Society, and the Wilmington Tri-County Dental Society. Dr. Weinberg lives in Wilmington with his wife Betsy and their two young daughters. He enjoys soccer, golf, running and spending time with his family.

Dr. Julie B. Dimock

Dr. Julie B. Dimock

Dr. Dimock is a native of eastern North Carolina. She received her undergraduate and dental degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, graduating in the Omicron Kappa Upsilon dental honor society. Dr. Dimock went on to do additional specialty training in which she received her Master’s in Pediatric Dentistry at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry. She still maintains an active affiliation with the UNC School of Dentistry where she enjoys teaching in the pediatric dental clinic. Prior to private practice, Dr. Dimock practiced pediatric dentistry at the New Hanover Community Health Center. Dr. Dimock has achieved Diplomate status as a board certified pediatric dentist with the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. Additionally, she is President of the North Carolina Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Society and the Wilmington Tri-County Dental Society. Dr. Dimock lives in Wilmington with her husband Dylan and their young son and daughter. She enjoys tennis, spending time with her family, and going to University of North Carolina Tar Heels basketball games.

Dr. William Robert Cherry III

Dr. William Robert Cherry III

Dr. Cherry was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery with Honors from University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2008. Dr. Cherry completed a three-year residency at UNC-CH for pediatric dentistry and received his Masters of Science in 2011. Dr. Cherry’s research on prescribing antibiotics was published in 2011 by JADA and was nationally recognized when he received the OMNI Award. In November 2015, Dr. Cherry became a Diplomate of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. Dr. Cherry graduated from New Hanover High School in 1998 and was a member of the 1998 State Championship 4A Men’s Golf Team. He attended UNC-Chapel Hill, played Men’s Golf and graduated in 2003. Dr. Cherry and his wife have three children and enjoy attending Carolina games and playing golf.

Dr. Jenna R. Freda

Dr. Freda, a native of New Jersey, pursued her undergraduate studies at NC State University where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree. She then continued her dental education at New York University College of Dentistry, followed by specialty training in pediatric dentistry at NYU. Although Dr. Freda cherished her time in New York City, she is now excited to call Wilmington her home. As a board-eligible pediatric dentist, she is actively involved with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of the Cape Fear Journal Club. In her free time, Dr. Freda enjoys different activities including reading, baking, traveling, and spending time at the beach. She loves tailgating for NC state games and spending time with her puppy, Parmesan.
