18 Sep Brush Up on Back-to-School Basics
Back-to-school time is upon us. Even though your child’s smile might be covered by a mask this year due to the pandemic, it is still important to schedule his or her dental visit.
Regular dental check ups can help prevent cavities, which is the leading chronic disease in school-aged children. Early detection and prevention of cavities can protect your child from unnecessary discomfort, trouble eating and school absences.
While regular dental visits are important, don’t forget to do your part at home by encouraging your children to eat healthy and brush for 2 minutes, 2 times per day. Daily flossing at every age is also important in preventing cavities, especially between molars.
As a reminder, we have 2 offices to serve your child’s dental needs: one in Wilmington and one in Leland. To schedule your next visit at either location, please call our office at 910-794-2266.
