12 Feb February is National Children’s Dental Health Month
February is National Children’s Dental Health Month. If you have a baby or toddler, you may have questions about thumb sucking, your child’s first dental visit or how and when to clean your child’s teeth. If so, feel free to call our office at 910-794-2266 and one of our staff members will be happy to answer your questions.
Our doctors and staff are dedicated to educating the Wilmington, NC community about proper oral health care. During the month of February, our staff and puppet friends visit various pre-schools and elementary schools in the area to help educate children on how to prevent cavities, proper brushing and flossing techniques. Parents will also learn about the importance of regular dental examinations, thumbsucking, dental sealants, choosing the right mouth protector for active children and teaching their children to say no to tobacco.
Children’s teeth are meant to last a lifetime, and a healthy smile is important to a child’s self-esteem. With proper care, a balanced diet and regular dental visits, your child’s teeth can remain healthy and strong for years to come. Call to schedule your child’s visit at either our Wilmington or Leland office 910-794-2266.
